Ⅰ. What is a gantry crane?

The gantry crane is a deformation of the bridge crane. It is a bridge type crane in which the bridge frame is supported on the ground track by the legs on both sides.

Ⅱ. Different gantry crane types

The gantry crane types are various.

Full gantry crane: The main beam has no overhang, and the trolley runs within the main span.

Semi-gantry crane: The legs of the semi-gantry crane have a height difference, which can be determined according to the civil construction requirements of the site.

1. Cantilever gantry crane

Double cantilever gantry crane: the most common structural form, the force of the structure and the effective use of the site area are reasonable.

Single cantilever gantry crane: This structure is often selected due to site constraints.

2. Single main beam gantry crane

The single girder gantry crane has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture and install, and has a low quality. Compared with double girder gantry cranes, the overall rigidity of single girder gantry cranes is weaker.

3. Double main beam gantry crane

The double girder gantry crane has strong carrying capacity, large span, good overall stability, and many varieties, but its own quality is larger than that of a single-girder gantry crane with the same lifting weight, and the cost of this kind of girder launcher crane is also higher.

Ⅲ. Where is the gantry crane applied?

1. In port cargo yard

Gantry cranes have the characteristics of high site utilization, large operating range, wide adaptability, and strong versatility. Gantry cranes are widely used in port freight yards.

Freight ports are because there are a lot of ships going to and from the port, and most of them are specialized freight ships, which often carry some large industrial equipment.

2. In shipyards

Shipyards often use gantry cranes in the process of building ships, and because they require greater lifting capacity and greater lifting height, the gantry cranes usually used in shipyards are usually equipped with two or more gantry cranes. Lifting hook.

3. In power station construction

Gantry cranes are widely used in the construction of hydropower stations because of their large lifting height and wide coverage. They are the main construction machinery for hydropower station builders. It is responsible for the main vertical transportation task, is the construction equipment of the construction enterprise, and also represents the image and strength of the enterprise.

The gantry crane involved in the construction of the power station should have a larger working range and lifting capacity, and the gantry crane should be more convenient in disassembly and assembly, so as to be more conducive to the transfer of the gantry crane between different construction sites.
