Crane machinery is a device that can move loads up and down and laterally to help lift materials, widely used in various factories. Because factory spaces are narrow and the beams and structures of the building can be used as the crane's support, practical factory cranes are generally overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and electric hoists. These lifting devices are very suitable for use in factory lifting operations.
Overhead cranes can span over the workshop for lifting equipment, capable of horizontal, vertical, and horizontal load operation and material handling. Overhead cranes are also called overhead cranes because they are placed on cement pillars or metal beams above the factory, and the entire machine is suspended in mid-air.
On both ends of the overhead crane's main beam, longitudinal tracks are installed, which enable the crane to move longitudinally and make better use of the space below the bridge for lifting heavy objects and avoiding obstacles on the ground. Overhead cranes are the most widely used and numerous lifting equipment in the market today.
Gantry cranes are derived from overhead cranes and can be used in places outside the factory, such as material yards, for loading and unloading goods. This type of crane has a metal structure similar to a door frame, with a support leg at each end of the main beam that can move the load on the ground track, and the main beam has an external cantilever beam function at both ends.
Due to the advantages of large site utilization, large operating radius, and good versatility, gantry cranes are widely used in some ports and factories.
